Course Objectives: 
The aim of the course is to provide the student with knowledge and skills regarding the perioperative care of the patient who will undergo surgical intervention, and to plan and implement the holistic care of the surgical patient in line with current guideline recommendations and evidence-based practices.
Course Content: 

The course includes surgical infections and prevention practices, nursing care in wound healing and burns, nursing care in hypovolemic shock, systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) and multiple organ failure syndrome (MODS), and current and evidence-based perioperative nursing care practices for all surgical interventions related to body systems.
