Course Objectives: 
The aim of the course is to provide the student with knowledge and skills regarding the perioperative care of the patient who will undergo surgical intervention, and to plan and implement the holistic care of the surgical patient in line with current guideline recommendations and evidence-based practices.
Course Content: 

The course includes current and evidence-based nursing care practices for surgical infections and prevention practices, wound healing and nursing care in burns, treatment and care interventions in hypovolemic shock, all surgical interventions applied to body systems, preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative periods of the surgical patient.
