Course Objectives:
This course aims to develop knowledge and attitudes about the nursing profession and the role, authority and responsibilities of the nurse in according with the nursing philosophy; it also aims to gain knowledge, attitudes and skills related to the concepts, principles, techniques and methods necessary to meet the care needs of individuals in according with basic human needs.
Course Content:
This course will include main lectures about nursing as a profession, healthcare system and nursing, theoretical foundations of nursing practice, nursing ethics and values, basic human needs through the life span, clients admission and discharge, client safety, infection control, activity and mobility needs, hygiene need, vital signs and medication administrations.
