Course Objectives:
The aim of this course is to teach definitions of exercise, physical activity, fitness, and wellness, types of exercise, warm-up and cool-down exercises, movement assessment, lumbopelvic stabilization exercises, mobility and flexibility exercises, exercises with body weight, posture, and body awareness, yoga, Chiqong- Taichi exercises, meditation and breathing techniques, the effect of exercise on brain functions, and creating exercise prescriptions and periodization.
Course Content:
This course includes definitions of exercise, physical activity, fitness, and healthy living, types of exercise, warm-up and cool-down exercises, movement assessment, lumbopelvic stabilization exercises, mobility and flexibility exercises, exercises with body weight, posture and body awareness, yoga, Chiqong-Taichi exercises, meditation, and breathing techniques, the relationship between exercise and the brain, exercise prescription and periodization, both theoretically and practically.
