To educate individuals who have received universal physiotherapy and rehabilitation education, who have adopted the ethical values of the physiotherapy profession, who have adopted the principle of protection, treatment and development of physical health and functional skills, who are researchers, sharers, participants and devoted individuals. The needs of the individual; adopting the principles of lifelong learning; To be a leading department in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, training highly qualified physiotherapists for the treatment of individuals with physiological impairments and disabilities, prevention of functional limitations, promotion of health levels, improvement of quality of life by training nationally and internationally recognised and expert in practice and research.

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Programme Objective

Physiotherapy and rehabilitation education and training quality is high, in the prevention of functional losses in the prevention and treatment of disorders and disability, to be an institution that leads the way in achieving healthy, high quality of life individuals and society. To follow global standards to continue physiotherapy education and to train individuals; to ensure to meet the changing needs of communities; open to change, scientific developments and developments and competition; To train self-confident, skilful and happy physiotherapy and rehabilitation undergraduate students who can choose the tool for rehabilitation, research, management and leadership fields, respect universal human rights and value, self-confident in national and international activities, skilful and happy.

 

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Programme Mission

The mission of our department is to educate individuals who have received universal physiotherapy and rehabilitation education, who have adopted the ethical values of the physiotherapy profession, who have adopted the principle of protection, development and treatment of physical health and functional skills in society, who are researchers, sharers, participants, and who have gained the skills to follow and integrate current literature. In line with this mission, in order to improve the health of individuals of all age groups in the society (such as newborns, children, adolescents, adults and the elderly), to ensure the highest level of functional capacity and participation in social life, to control the symptoms of individuals with symptoms and functional limitations after a disease or accident, The programme aims to train physiotherapists who take an active role in increasing the level of independence, who can make up-to-date and evidence-based assessment, reporting and interpretation, who can plan physiotherapy and rehabilitation programmes with professional ethical principles and evidence-based perspective, who can plan and conduct scientific studies, who have developed professional autonomy and who can work multidisciplinary.Our programme, which has a blue diploma within the scope of the Turkish Qualification Framework, aims to provide our students with nationally and internationally recognised qualifications and skills and to provide our graduates with a competitive advantage at the international level. With our efforts to update and improve our educational goals, continuous improvements are made in line with the feedback received from our internal and external stakeholders. Our department also aims to provide our students with the knowledge, skills and vision to meet the changing health needs of our country and the world by integrating topics such as the use of technology and innovative solutions in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, experiencing multidisciplinary working / research methods, physiotherapy and rehabilitation in disasters into the curriculum.

To be a pioneering institution that trains physiotherapists who take effective responsibilities in improving the health of individuals in different age groups, increasing the level of independence of people with disabilities after illness and accident, evaluating with evidence-based physiotherapy and rehabilitation knowledge, planning and interpreting treatment programmes, thinking critically, gaining professional autonomy and working multidisciplinary.

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Programme Educational Objectives

  • Equipped with current theoretical, practical knowledge and skills in the field of basic medical sciences and rehabilitation required by the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation;
  • Gained the ability of professional, ethical principles, critical perspective, objective evaluation, application, problem solving, interpretation and conclusion in physiotherapy and rehabilitation education,
  • Gained the ability to express and report information about professional and patient follow-up in written and oral form; Gained practical communication skills between patients, relatives, health professionals and interdisciplinary practical communication skills within the framework of professional ethical principles,
  • To be able to use the literature effectively to access current and evidence-based information with the principle of lifelong education, to plan and finalise the research, to present and report the results,
  • To be able to work multidisciplinary, to take an active role in studies, to organise and maintain interdisciplinary studies that take into account the changing health needs of the society,
  • To be able to select and use current and evidence-based methods necessary for field practice, development and rehabilitation services,
  • To train entrepreneurial physiotherapists who can offer up-to-date technological and innovative solutions.
