Course Objectives:
To understand the anatomy of the human body, the detailed structure of the cells, tissues and organs of all systems by examining the metabolic functioning of the organism with its infrastructure and physiology; to teach the students holistic and analytical look in such a way that the student can solve the potential problems -scientifically and without errors- that will be encountered in applying the profession after graduation.
Course Content:
Human Body Anatomy. Cells, tissues and organs. Anatomy of musculoskeletal system; bones, muscles and joints. Anatomy of the brain and nervous system, anatomy of the respiratory system, anatomy of the blood, heart and circulatory system. Anatomy of the digestive system, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, pancreas and gallbladder. Endocrine system anatomy; pituitary, hypothalamus, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pineal glands. Anatomy of the genitourinary system; kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, uterus and ovaries and reproductive system.
