Nursing, which has developed rapidly since the 20th century, has increased its scientific knowledge and carried out many innovative studies by making use of technology. The year 2020 has been declared the year of Nursing and Midwifery by WHO, and it has been proven that our colleagues are indispensable in the Pandemic with their foremost struggle. In addition, the International Union of Nurses (ICN) has announced the themes for 2020 and 2021 as "A leading voice in health and a leading voice for Leadership".
In the 25th year of our university, as the Nursing Department, we were inspired by all these developments and held the event we organized on the theme of "Strong Nursing First for Health" with 190 participants. Thanks to all the participants who participated in our event and for their dedication, especially our department head Prof. Dr. Hediye Arslan Ozkan, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Aylin Akça Sümengen, our department assistants and all our professors.
