Dear Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Students,
It has been reported that the education, which was suspended by the Higher Education Council (YÖK) as of 16 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak, can be continued with distance education as of 23 March 2020 with the letter of 19 March 2020. Our department has started to put into practice in the most effective way. We wanted to inform you about the process. Starting from Monday, March 23, 2020, our online lectures will continue in accordance with the semester lecture schedule and each lecture will be held in its own lecture time. Announcements to be made about the lectures, sharing of lecture materials, assignments to be given, quizzes to be done will be shared on the Google Classroom page of the relevant lecture. After each sharing, the Classroom system will receive notification about the sharing made to your Gmail account that you have registered. For this reason, you should follow the inbox of your Gmail accounts and the sharing pages of the Classroom classes you are registered with. We have determined the ZOOM conference platform for the online education. For this reason, we expect all of our students to download the application to their mobile devices or computers and register for the application. You must register with the username that contains your name and surname. This will make it easier for us to see who is attending the classes. We recommend using the computer for more convenient follow-up of the presentations and the lecture. Online lectures will continue in accordance with your current curriculum and the materials to be used in these lessons will be shared with you via the Classroom application before the lecture. Half an hour before classes begin, both the Classroom app and your WhatsApp groups will provide you with a link and session password where you can join the online lecture. In this way, you can enter lectures. During online lectures, students who want to have a right to speak can request with ‘raise hand’ from the participant part of the program. Microphones and cameras of all students participating in the presentation will be closed with the settings to be adjusted from within the application. In order to avoid any confusion, you should also turn off your microphone and cameras within the application settings.
We recently had a meeting with your class representatives and department representative about their applications and uses. If you have a problem using the applications, you can reach us through your representatives.
